When I signed up, I
thought I would do tours on the border colonies and see the worlds. I was assigned to a little shit hole od a planet with not much of anything to fight for or be proud of. The people on that rock
just lived their lives the best they could, working hard to turn the badlands into something they would be happy to call home.
The local marshal is not half as bad as what you'd get in the federation's world. He is called Raynor. A tough guy with the job on his mind who does not like to take bullshit orders from the
off-world brass. Being only a private there, I was not really aware of what was going on, but when reports started to come in of our boys going missing on regular rounds, everyone started to be
on edge.
There was no word from the confederates, obviously. But we started to see some strange Xenos. Some kind of huge insects, we did not know where they came from or what they were exactly, but they
were hostile, dangerous, and alien. Enough for anyone to empty a clip or two into before asking questions. We heard they were called the Zergs. Fine, whatever, they were creepy and scary is all I
could say for sure. I once saw a guy get his arm cut clean off his shoulder by one of those zerglings, and they say there are others, bigger ones, out there. I don't want to stay on that rock.
Yesterday we found something very disturbing. One of our command enter had been turned into some kind of hive by the Zergs. We burned it to the ground, along with the poor bastards trapped in
that thing. The Federation did not like it it seems, they are sending troops to arrest Raynor. There is no way we could have left that thing there. It was... Unnatural.
I hear that a guy Mengsk or something like that has offered to get us off this rock before the feds arrive. I'm all for it and it seems even the Commander agrees, which is a little surprising,
but who am I to question. The good news is we'll be far away when the troops arrive.
So now, we are working for the guy. That would not bother me so much but he is obsessed with the Zergs, he wants to know all about them. Raynor does not seem to think straight either since he's
met that ghost girl Kerrigan. She's hot, granted, but ghosts can read your mind! That's not right. I don't like being around to much.
Now I hear that the Zerg are not our only problem. There is an other player stepping in, some kind of alien called Protoss. They look pretty tough, and after fighting them a few times, I can say
that they can handle themselves. I don't like the fact that I was assigned to that shitty detail with Kerrigan. Protecting the Zerg from the Protoss? What the hell is wrong with those guys? They
are looking at us everytime we turn our back. It's not going to end well at all...
